DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 22nd is the Westside Neighborhood Council 2nd Annual Safety and Preparedness Fair at Overland Elementary School (11 am – 3 pm). At this FREE event\, you can: \n\nVisit over 40 informational and educational booths\,\nLEARN hands-only CPR\,\nLEARN to “stop the bleed”\,\nLEARN how to use a fire extinguisher\,\nBUY those emergency supplies you’ve been meaning to get\,\nEAT lunch or snacks which will be available for purchase from 3 amazing FOOD TRUCKS (The Grilled Cheese Truck\, Wicked Fish Tacos\, and L.A. Donut)\,\nGIVE THE GIFT of LIFE\, donate blood at the Cedar Sinai Bloodmobile\,\nLEARN pet CPR\,\nASK QUESTIONS. Our local West Los Angeles Police Dept will be there to talk with you about crime and crime prevention\, the Citizen Police Academy and the Community Safety Patrol.  Chat with Capt. Vic Davolos\, Sgt. Scott Alpert and our Senior Lead Officers Rick Ballesteros and Chris Baker\nGet a FREE custom KID’S SAFETYID KIT.\nAdults\, teens\, and pre-teens are invited to try the DISTRACTED DRIVING DEMONSTRATOR. Our young drivers or soon to be drivers can learn in a completely safe environment just how fast something can happen if they are distracted while driving.\nKIDS are invited to participate in a BIKE SAFETY WORKSHOP. Bring their bikes and helmets and they can take a spin or three around the course! (The kids had so much fun at the bike safety workshop last year\, that they didn’t want to leave!)\nWIN RAFFLE PRIZES! Gift baskets\, local store\, and restaurant gift cards\, and emergency supplies.
