DESCRIPTION:Earth Day is not cancelled!  While we can’t host a neighborhood cleanup as originally planned\, the Palms Neighborhood Council and the Green Committee are still committed to celebrating Earth Day and beautifying Palms.  LA Sanitation is offering a free street tree program.  Residents can sign up to have a tree planted for free in the parkway near their address\, if they commit to watering the tree until it is established (about five years).  Visit their website www.lacitysan.org/freetree for details and to sign up.

DESCRIPTION:Now more than ever\, getting involved in local government is absolutely critical and the good news is that it’s never been easier. Politics rewards those who show up and now with a click of a button from your device\, you can be there too. \nOn Saturday and Sunday\, June 27 & 28\, the Budget Advocates will be hosting VIRTUAL TOWN HALLS in every region of our City. Palms falls into the 6/28 4 PM time slot.  Join your neighbors to discuss the changes you want to see in your area\, which causes matter most\, and which City Services need to be prioritized and preserved. \nDon’t miss out on an opportunity to put your feelings into action! \nDuring the Town Halls\, we will also be electing your new Budget Advocates (3 per NC Region) to a 2 year term so reach out to your Neighborhood Council leadership to ensure they’ve appointed Budget Representatives (2 per NC)\, because Budget Reps hold the sole authority to vote for Budget Advocates. \nIf you have any questions please direct them to LAbudgetadvocates@gmail.com.
