The 2023-2025 Palms NC Board was elected on June 5, 2023 to serve the Palms Community and represents residential, business and community stakeholders. Meet your Palms representatives!

	Kay Hartman President Email: kay.hartman@palmsnc.la Kay Hartman and her husband Jack and have lived in Palms since 1983. She was born in New York and moved to Orange County with her parents, sister, and brother when she was 7 years old. She has a degree in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach. Degree in hand, she landed a job at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena as a software developer while pursuing post-graduate studies in Computer Science at UCLA. Kay entered software management while working at Proprietary Software Systems in Santa Monica. Kay is now retired and has 37 years experience in software project and program management. She previously served Palms as Treasurer and Area A Representative. Jack and Kay are world travelers and have visited over 40 countries.

	Ana Garcia Lima Treasurer Email: ana.g.lima@palmsnc.la Hello! My name is Ana Garcia-Lima and I am excited to have the opportunity to be part of the 2023 Neighborhood Council as Treasurer. A little about myself, I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelors in Finance and Real Estate. I currently work at a Fortune 500 company as a Financial Analyst. My work portfolio includes multiple projects with budgets ranging over 10+ million. In this role I work closely with multiple departments to stay within budget. I have lived in Palms for 13 years and raise my two younger siblings. You can catch us walking around the neighborhood with our cat (Baby Sky). I wish to give back to the community that has given my family and I many memories! Thank you!
	William Keith Community-Based Organization Representative Email: william.keith@palmsnc.la William Keith has lived in Palms since 2010. As a native Angeleno, William has witnessed many natural and manmade disasters. Through these experiences, he developed a passion for emergency preparedness and neighborhood resilience. Since 2012, he has been an active member of the LAFD Community Emergency Response Team. After the 2018 Woosley Fire, he became an American Red Cross volunteer. During the pandemic, he crisscrossed the United States responding to over twenty disasters from Florida to Hawaii, Montana to Texas. In his spare time, William loves to backpack and road trip, taking the paths less traveled.

	Mateo Acosta Residential Representative for Area B Email: mateo.acosta@palmsnc.la Mateo is an educator and community organizer. They earned their BA in History from UCLA. While in Los Angeles, Mateo discovered their love and passion for working with students and advocating for equitable access to quality education for all students. After working in various roles across schools in California, and in the midst of the pandemic, Mateo began pursuing their MA in Politics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. While in New York, Mateo taught history and organized state education campaigns. After earning their Master’s, Mateo returned to Los Angeles to continue serving students and communities.

	Neal Broverman Residential Representative for Area E Email: neal.broverman@palmsnc.la Neal Broverman has lived in Palms since Feb. 2021. He is an editor at the website Mashable and his husband, Robbie, is a teacher at LAUSD. He has one child who attends Palms Elementary School, and another who attends Fairhaven Elementary School. Originally from Connecticut, Neal has lived in Los Angeles for 26 years. He previously served as editorial director for The Advocate and Out magazines, where he won awards from GLAAD, the Los Angeles Press Club, and the National Association for LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA). Neal also was an editor at the website Curbed and Los Angeles magazine, where he wrote about transportation, real estate, and architecture. Neal’s writing has appeared in publications including USA Today and the Los Angeles Times. Neal and Robbie were recipients of the 2023 Sylvia Fogelman Founder’s Award from Extraordinary Families, an agency that finds resource families for children in the foster system. As Area E representative, Neal hopes to make Palms more livable and is passionate about making our streets safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. He is on the transportation and infrastructure committee and the community and engagement committee.
