BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING – HOW TO SHOW UP FOR OTHERS

FreeOn Wednesday, December 9nd from 6:30-8:00pm ET. hollaback!, a nationally recognized non-profit working to end harassment will present a bystander training on how to actively provide care and support for those discriminated by gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity, ethnicity, and/or race
The COVID-19 pandemic has witnessed an increase in incidents of bias, discrimination, violence and hate directed against people due to their Gender, Sexual Orientation, Sexual Identity, Ethnicity, and/or Race. In this training our goal is to give participants the tools to intervene the next time they witness harassment. We will equip you with the right information on how to be an effective bystander in the midst of public space harassment using hollaback!’s proven 5D’s methodology, our five strategies for intervention. Then we will practice so you leave our training feeling more prepared to successfully and safely intervene.
