The Green Committee meets the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

Our mission statement: Our committee commits to creating a productive, collaborative, community engaging, and action oriented environmentally focused committee to best serve the community of Palms. We discuss and weigh in on policy items in the Los Angeles City Council regarding items that will collectively help our city slow the climate crisis, and prevent impacts to environmentally justice impacted communities.
When we meet: Every Second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. Please double check the PalmsNC.la calendar for updates on meeting times, and to see agendas of what we are working on.
Our priorities:
- Having a voice for environmental justice, and sustainability related policy in the LA City Council, focusing on environmental justice, reducing waste, encouraging native species planting, planting trees, promoting alternative transit and Electric Vehicle chargers, oil drilling, decarbonization of buildings, focusing on renewable energy sources, promoting vegan and clean eating, water campaigns and water reduction, urban gardens
