October 2026 is Palms Public Safety Month

The Palms Neighborhood Council is planning to have some fun while learning about various aspects of public safety.

October 15 – 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Join us at the Coffee Commissary for a Coffee With a Cop.  Senior Lead Officer Adrian Acosta will be there as will Councilwoman Yaroslavsky’s office and the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment.  3417 Motor Ave.

October 17 – 2:00 – 4:00 p.m

Ice Cream Social at Woodbine Park.  Tabling will be Ready Your L.A. Neighborhood (RYLAN) and Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE).  And there definitely will be ice cream!  3409 Vinton Ave.

October 24 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Halloween Party in the parking lot of Culver Palms Church of Christ.  Kids Are 1st will be sponsoring a car seat safety check with the California Highway Patrol doing the actual checking.  If you have a child in a car seat, this is a great opportunity to have a free a inspection of your car seat’s installation the CHP who will correct the installation if a correction is needed.  LASAN and the Red Cross will be there too.  Come in costume!  9733 Venice Blvd.

November 7 – 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Let’s pick up trash!  We’ll clean a street and eat pizza.  Meet at Palms Station.
