Neighborhood Resilience and Security After a Disaster

December 16, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
After a major earthquake, city services will be unavailable for days, if not weeks.
We always talk about what happens hours after a disaster. This training will focus on what happens 5 to 7 to 14 days after a disaster.
Everyone should be prepared to survive on their own without markets or gas stations or restaurants during this time.
But we don’t exist in a vacuum.
We live in communities, in neighborhoods, in street blocks. By working with our neighbors and combining, trading, or bartering for resources, it’s easier for everyone to survive.
But time and time again, we hear people who are worried about letting their neighbors know what they have or are worried that their neighborhoods will become targets by those who didn’t prepare.
An active, prepared neighborhood will actually be less of a target than a single home that is prepared but isolated on their own.
Join us on Wednesday, December 16th, 7pm-9pm Pacific Time.
This training will be hosted on Microsoft Teams.
You will need to register on this Eventbrite to receive the invite to the Teams Meeting and instructions on how to join. Signups end 15 minutes before the training. We will be available an hour before the training to help test and make sure you get in.
If this is the first time you are using Microsoft Teams, please don’t wait until the last minute to test.
